Vision Statement

The vision of the Travel and Tourism department is to produce students who are driven to achieve the best that they are capable of. The learning in Travel and Tourism is sequenced in such a way that pupils can continually build on knowledge that demonstrates an understanding of how central the Travel and Tourism industry is to the economy in the United Kingdom. Students will also develop essential skills such as research, analysis, independent study and evaluation as well as face to face customer service skills that will help them in the world of work. Pupils’ curiosity is stimulated through the study of contemporary global issues to help create a well-rounded and informed individual. The curriculum is designed to ensure that critical thinking and problem solving skills are developed. The learning of theory is made relevant and brought to life for students, with visits to popular tourist destinations such as Disneyland Paris and through the building of research and face to face customer service skills.
