Vision Statement

Our mission is to inspire and empower aspiring sound engineers, producers, and musicians to explore the combination of music and technology, encouraging creativity, developing technical expertise, and encouraging an appreciation for the limitless possibilities of sound. We envision a holistic approach to music technology, encompassing not only recording and mixing techniques but also the integration of cutting-edge technologies like digital audio workstations, MIDI controllers, and live performance equipment. We aim to provide our students with real-world experiences by engaging them in live performances, studio sessions, and university partnerships. Through these opportunities, we seek to equip our students with the skills and industry knowledge necessary to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving music industry. We aspire to empower our students to become versatile and innovative professionals who will shape the future of music production.

Specification being followed: At Key Stage 5, our students study either the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Music Technology (Sound Engineering) or the BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Music Technology . There are two externally assessed units (three for the Diploma) and these are completed in Year 1 – allowing for retakes should the students need to improve their grades.
