Vision Statement
The vision for A-Level Business is to develop a curiosity for how businesses operate, the influences on them and how we interact with them as employees, owners, and consumers. Businesses operate in an increasingly dynamic environment, which is heavily disrupted by technological advances. Students will develop understanding of the dynamic nature of business and an appreciation of the need to respond to the increasing pace of change we find ourselves in.
Students will expand upon understanding developed in Key Stage 4 or be supported to commence study in Key Stage 5. They will add depth to their knowledge through greater study of theoretical models and further enhance their ability to relate this to real world and scenario-based contexts by applying models as an analytical framework. Students are encouraged to take direction from their own interests when doing this. Studying A-Level Business will enhance their critical thinking, specifically their ability to analyse influences on decisions and likely outcomes and prioritise information to support evaluation and recommendations; key skills for further study and successful progression in the workplace.
