Year 13

Under Step 4 guidelines and the Department for Education Guidance to schools in July, students will no longer be asked to wear face coverings in the Academy unless Public Health Walsall instructs the Academy otherwise. Students using public transport to and from the Academy should wear face coverings.

Social distancing measures will have ceased, but the Academy will still continue with an enhanced cleaning programme, hand washing and increased ventilation of all areas.

All students were offered two on-site lateral flow tests before they started back at the Academy and should continue to test twice weekly reporting the results on the Academy website and with the NHS.

See here for more information showing how the test works.

If a student displays any Covid-related symptoms they should not come into school – they should book a PCR test and await the result.  Students may be notified by Track and Trace to self-isolate this should be reported to the Academy’s attendance office.

Year 13 start at 8.30am and finish time will be 3.15pm.

Covid-19 Risk Assessment.

It is a requirement of all students to observe the ‘social distancing’ rules as follows:

  • Do not come to school if you or anyone in your household have any of the Covid-19 symptoms; fever, persistent cough, loss of sense of smell or taste;
  • Wash or sanitise your hands when arriving at school and regularly throughout the day;
  • Avoid touching your face;
  • Make sure you bring everything you need (e.g. exercise books, completed work, pen, ruler, calculator etc.);
