Building on Key stage 2
The aim of physical education is to create more physical education. As a department we aim to deliver inclusive and inspiring PE lessons that will motivate all students to choose to take part in physical activity when they are away from us. We will instil the confidence, skills and knowledge levels that will allow our students to lead a physically active lifestyle whilst all all barriers to learning to be removed through effective planning and understanding of student’s needs. Through our ‘PE values’ we will use sport and physical activity as a tool to promote and develop qualities that will help them to be effective members of the school and wider community. Lessons will have a direct link to our PE values that look to develop skills in leadership whilst also developing their character.
We welcome passionate students to study an examination course where they will gain a further understanding of physical activity concepts that can be utilised in their own performance whilst also opening opportunities for further study or work in this industry.
