We expect from parents:
- Encourage excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Be supportive of the Academy’s behaviour and disciplinary processes
- Attend meetings and events requested by the Academy
- Ensure that your child understands the seriousness of downloading inappropriate materials from the computer facilities in Walsall Academy.
- Ensure that your child understands social media use and takes steps to monitor its use at home
- Ensure that you do not contact your child by mobile phone during the day.
- Always report to us any concerns about your child’s well-being
- Always work co-operatively with the Personal Tutor including monitoring your child’s progress through module reports and by attending PT meetings such as SLCs
- Encourage your child to attend a range of session 3 activities and participate in sporting and performing arts events
- Attend the opportunities to meet with the Careers staff to help plan your child’s future
- Ensure that you use appropriate channels of communication with the Academy and be guided by our policies
